The Garrett Powermax GTP38R is a state-of-the-art full ball bearing upgrade for your 1999.5 to 2003 7.3L Powerstroke with the following features: 88mm Garrett GT compressor wheel in a ported shroud compressor housing for 33% more flow than stock compressor wheel while enhancing the compressor map width (improved compressor flow range); 1.00 A/R turbine housing for free flowing exhaust with reduced exhaust manifold/turbine inlet back pressure and up to 200° reduction in exhaust temperature; and GT full ball bearing CHRA (center housing and rotating assembly) that eliminates thrust bearing failures at high boost levels and provides increased turbocharger response, efficiency and durability. The GTP38R is supplied complete with an installation kit including a custom molded silicon compressor inlet hose, compressor inlet hose clamps and turbo mounting O-rings for pedestal (upgrade does not include pedestal). Garrett recommended maximum boost level for the GTP38R turbo is 40PSI.
